The freshly renovated Duffs Cottage, expertly combines class and comfort to maintain the home’s authentic heritage atmosphere and subtly incorporates luxury ensuites, flat screen televisions and touch-control cooling and heating.

Both suites, meticulously restored by Colac builder Mark Rosevear, are named after early western district explorers, who lost their way in 1837, never to be seen again.

The Hesse Suite includes a combined bed and sitting room, features beautifully detailed antiques, classic drapes and a plush ensuite.

The Gellibrand Suite features a charming sitting room, and separate bedroom with a bath and large shower.

Both suites have the stamp of quality interior design, and uninterrupted views of the beautiful parklands and mature elms at Memorial Square.

Duffs Cottage is a favourite with wedding parties. An excellent hair salon is located next door, across the road is an accomplished florist, and Duffs Café is an established specialist in wedding cuisine.

For the travel weary Duffs Cottage is within metres of Colac’s main street which has a vibrant independent retail scene.

It is also just a few minutes’ walk from the city’s Botanic Gardens, sculpture trail and Lake Colac.

Both suites have a practical desk, and broadband access.

The Cottage’s spacious kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances, plus a board-room style antique dining table which is perfect for meetings. This flexible room can also be used for corporate entertaining.

The Cottage has its own small courtyard and residents are also welcome to use Chloe’s Garden, the Café‘s signature alfresco dining zone.

Nothing has been overlooked at Duffs Cottage – there’s even a dedicated guests’ laundry.

When it comes to breakfast the choice is yours, you can prepare your own Continental breakfast from a mouthwatering basket provided in the Cottage kitchen, or make the most of the Duffs Café gourmet breakfast menu.
